Early Run Leads Knights over Pioneers

Central Penn started the game on a 19-4 run and never looked back in a 95-62 victory over Alfred State on Saturday afternoon.

Devon Dorsey paced the Knights attack finishing 14 for 15 from the field for a game high 33 poitns.  He also added 12 rebounds and two blocks.  Tyree Tucker chipped in 17 points while Daron Johnson came off the bench and had nine points.

The Knights built a 50-31 lead at halftime after shooting 55.6% from the field.  They finished the game shooting 52.1%, held a 52 to 36 rebounding advantage, and forced Alfred State into 31 turnovers.

Tavon Moore (Syracuse/Bishop Grimes) led the blue & gold with 19 points (11 for 13 from the foul line) off the bench.  Thomas Stein (Caldedonia Mumford) recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Alfred State shot 32.2% from the field and was 1 for 17 from three-point land.  

The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Penn College for a 7 p.m. tipoff with the Wildcats.
