Pioneers Shoot Past JCC-Olean

The Alfred State men's basketball team connected on eight 3-pointers in their 77-58 victory over JCC-Olean on Tuesday night.  

Bradley Ferraro (Mt. Morris) connected on four 3-pointers and led the Pioneers balanced attack with 16 points.  Thomas Stein (Caledonia Mumford) finished with 12 points, and Jared Bard (Jordan Elbridge) chipped in 10 points and seven boards.  Adam Fezza (Southhampton) added nine.

Alfred led most of the way including holding a 37-30 halftime lead.  The Jaguars cut it to 45-43 in the 2nd half but never could tie the game up.  The Pioneers shot 45.8% from the field and held a 44 to 39 advantage on the boards.

Jamestown Olean shot just 28.8% from the field and was 2 for 26 from beyond the three point arc.

The blue & gold return to the Orvis Activities Center on Thursday when they host Nazareth at 8 p.m.
