Pioneer Tripped up by Greensboro

Daniel Wolf netted five goals as Greensboro College defeated Alfred State 18-9 on Monday afternoon. The Pride improve to 3-4 on the season.

Greensboro led 6-3 in the 2nd quarter before going on a 10-0 goal run to take control of the contest. Alfred State scored the next six goals of the game to make it 16-9 but the Pride held the Pioneers scoreless the rest of the way and netted two more insurance goals to seal the victory.

Blaine Wise netted four goals and had one assist while Charles Stringfello had three goals and three assists to support Wolf's big day.

Teddy Alvarado (Hilton) led the Pioneers with four goals and an assist, Aaron Buck (Churchville Chili) had three goals and two assists, and Michael Maranga (Rockaway/St. Edmund) found the back of the net twice.

The Pioneers will look to get on track on Wednesday when they battle Guilford
