Alfred State freshmen Teddy Alvarado (Hilton) recorded a hat trick as the Pioneers fell 22-5 to Guilford on Wednesday afternoon. Guilford improves to 4-1 on the year.
Alvarado finished the day with three goals and an assist to pace the Pioneers offense. He now has recorded two straight hat tricks and has nine goals on the season. Aaron Buck (Churchille Chili) added two goals and an assist and Nathan Serio (Silver Creek) had an assist.
Alex Brownlee led Guilford with a hat trick while Aden Fiore finished with a goal and five assists. In total 14 different Quakers scored in the contest.
Guilford led 8-1 after the 1st quarter, 12-2 at half, and 19-3 after the 3rd quarter. The Quakers held a 69 to 12 shot advantage.
The Pioneers wrap up their spring break trip on Thursday with a 4 p.m. contest with Methodist.
