Mahany Leads Postseason Honors for Men's Soccer

Bobby Mahany (Orchard Park) has earned three postseason awards to lead the Alfred State men's soccer team. In total five Pioneers earned postseason honors.

Mahany was named USCAA honorable mention All-American, 2nd team All-Independent, and was named to the All-Academic team by the USCAA. Mahany made 16 starts in the defensive backfield for the Pioneers. Mahany is just the second Pioneer to earn All-American honors during the programs four years in the USCAA.

Tyler Landries (Genesee Valley) netted six goals and passed out three assists this season as was named 2nd team All-Independent while Kory Zimmer (Livonia) netted three goals and passed out one assists from his midfield position to earned 3rd team All-Independent honors.

Defender Colby Wright (Livonia) and goalkeeper Jacob Bartz (West Seneca) joined Mahany on the USCAA All-Academic team. To earn All-Academic status a student-athlete must have over a 3.5 GPA while competing for at least two seasons. 

The Pioneers finished the season 6-12 and played in the ACAA Championship game.
