Geibel Nets Four as Lady Pioneers Roll

Brooke Geibel (Arkport) scored four times as the Alfred State women's soccer team rolled past Penn State Beaver 6-0 on Sunday afternoon. Geibel also added an assist as the Lady Pioneers improved to 5-4 on the season.

Jessica Rowe (Jasper Troupsburg) got the Lady Pioneers on the board in the 14th minute when she scored her first goal of the season. Geibel netted her first in the 23rd minute after getting a pass from Darien Hooker (Canisteo Greenwood). Melissa Mineti (Livonia) scored just 1:43 later after getting a pass from Geibel. Geibel made it 4-0 just under four minutes later.

Geibel completed her hat trick 4:04 into the 2nd half after getting a pass from Hooker. Geibel found the back of the net in the 64th minute to cap the scoring after getting a pass from Rowe.

The Lady Pioneers (5-4) outshot Penn State Beaver 52 to 2 on the game. Allison Danielak (Brockport) made a pair of saves in the first 61:58 to record the victory while Kylie DeWilde (Midlakes) played the final 28:02 to complete the shutout.

In their two games this weekend, the Lady Pioneers outscored their opponents 11-0. In their five victories this season the blue & gold have a 29-1 goal advantage.

The blue & gold return to action next Saturday when they host Bryant & Stratton. The contest is slated for a 5 p.m. start at Pioneer Stadium.
