Lady Pioneers Fall in USCAA Opener

The Alfred State women's soccer team fell 6-0 to #1 seed and two-time defending champion Maine Fort Kent as they opened up play at the 2016 USCAA National Championships in Virginia Beach, VA. The Lady Pioneers are making their 4th straight appearance at the USCAA Nationals.

Sherifatu Sumaila scored three goals and passed out two assists for the Bengals. UMFK scored three goals in each half and out shot the Pioneers 35 to 4 in the contest. Jennifer Cudjoe added two goals and an assist.

Allison Danielak (Brockport) made 13 saves in net including diving and leaping stops.

The Lady Pioneers have Friday off but return to action on Saturday when they take on #12 seed SUNY Delhi. The game is slated for Noon.
