Athletic Department Sponsors Christmas for Local Family
The Alfred State athletic department sponsored a local family for the eighth consecutive year. Members of the department made donations to sponsor a family of eight in the Christmas Box Program run at the Union University Church in Alfred.
The family that the athletic department sponsored included six children under the age of eight. Each child will receive an outfit and a toy while each parent received a pair of gloves and hat. The box also include food enough to make a complete Christmas dinner including a large frozen turkey, and lots of goodies for later. The gift also included a $50 gift card to dollar general for anything else they may need.
A total of 17 families were sponsored this year in the Christmas Box Program.
