Scianna Joins Alfred State Staff

Brooke Scianna has joined the athletic department staff as the Coordinator of Event Management and Equipment Services. Scianna's position is part of the Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant that Alfred State was awarded in the summer of 2019.

Scianna, a former member of the Alfred State women's soccer team, returns to campus to work within the department. During her three-year soccer career she appeared in 47 games on the defensive side of the ball. She did score once and was credited with eight shots.

Scianna is excited about the opportunity. "It is great to be back on campus. I look forward to being part of the department and helping the current student-athletes and staff"

Director of Athletic Jason Doviak is thrilled to have Brooke join our staff.  "She brings some outstanding game management experience within a professional sports setting back to her alma mater. Her familiarity with our campus and staff will make for a smooth and efficient transition."

She graduated from Alfred State in December 2020 with her bachelor's degree in Sport Management. She also has an associate degree from ASC in Sport Management.

Scianna was an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and represented Alfred State and the AMCC at the NCAA National Convention in 2020. She was also a member of the athletic department event staff and part of the residence life staff of her dorm for two school years.

For her internship, during the summer of 2020, she worked with the Washinton Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League. She served as an equipment and operations intern where she operated heat presses for staff, professional team, and youth camp apparel, assisted equipment coordinator in training set up and breakdown, and executed select tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
