Adam Fezza (Southhampton) scored 19 points off the bench to lead Alfred State but the Pioneers fell 52-47 to D'Youville in the second day of the RIT Tournament.
Fezza was 6 for 13 on the day and led all scorers with his 19 points. Charles Ingram (Harlem/Seward Park) chipped in seven points. Alfred St. held a 50 to 41 advantage on the boards but was slowed down by 28 turnovers.
Julian Reed led D'Youville with 18 points while Jon Gemerek and Marcus Clarke each had 14. The Spartans held a 33-27 lead at the half.
The Pioneers host Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday in their final contest before the Thanksgiving break. Opening tip-off is at 6 p.m.
