Hutson and Fezza Score 11 vs. Morrisvlle

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) and Adam Fezza (Southhampton) each had 11 points as Alfred State fell 64-52 at Morrisville on Monday evening. The Mustangs used a 11-1 run to end the 1st half to take control of the contest.

Alfred State jumped out to a 12-5 lead in the first five minutes of the contest. Morrisville chipped away and tied the contest at 16-16 with seven minutes left in the half. Alfred State led 26-24 with just under four minutes left in the 1st but the Mustangs finished the half on a 11-1 run to take a lead they would never relinquish.

The Pioneers cut the Mustang lead to four twice in the 2nd half (47-43 with 8:34 left & 52-48 with 4:46 remaining) but could not get any closer. Morrisville end the contest on a 12-4 run to seal their 4th victory of the season (4-5).

Hutson and Fezza each had 11 points while Tyler Elliott (Perry) continued his solid freshmen season with seven points and 13 rebounds. 

Joe Hulbert led Morrisville with 15 points and nine rebounds while Trent Ward, Undel Daley, and Mike Russo all finished with 10. The Mustangs connected on 12 of their 26 three-point attempts in the contest.

The Pioneers are right back at it on Wednesday when they host Hilbert at 7 p.m.
