Men's Basketball Rakes Leaves for Local Church
The Alfred State men's basketball team took time in between games this weekend to help a local church with their fall clean-up.
19 members of the team spent Saturday afternoon raking leaves and performing fall clean-up at Union University Church in Alfred. The team borrowed rakes and leaf blowers from facility services and got the church ready for the winter.
"The guys had a lot fun working together as a team to help a local church and in turn gave back to the community that they live and go to school in", Coach Jerry Jusianiec said.
The men's basketball team has been active in the community this semester already organizing and running a blood drive and participating in the Alfred Almond Central School Move & Groove Night.
