Schneider Explodes For 36 as Pioneers Defeat Carlow

Pittsburgh, PA – Alfred State extends their win streak to three with a 84-76 victory over Carlow. The Pioneers move to 8-7 on the season and 6-2 in conference play.

Cody Schneider led Alfred State with 36 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks. Paris Jamison and Dylan Perry each chipped in 12 points and Ryan Rosa added 11 points.

The first half would go back and forth but Perry's third three of the first half gave Alfred State a 21-18 lead and they wouldn't look back. A last second layup by Rosa took the Pioneers into halftime leading 48-41.

The Pioneers outscored the Celtics 36-35 in the second half. Back-to-back three pointers from Schneider gave Alfred State a 67-54 lead with 11:11 remaining. The lead got to as much as 17 following a Jamison mid-range jumper. The Celtics would continue to fight but the Pioneers prevailed taking a 84-76 win.

The Pioneers are back in action on Wednesday January 17th as they head to Erie, PA and face off against the Lions of Penn St. Behrend.
