Pioneers Trample The Panthers On The Road

Bradford, PA - The Alfred State men's basketball team extends their win streak to three with a 108-72 victory over Pitt.-Bradford. The Pioneers move to 12-10 on the season and 10-5 in conference play.

Zy Switzer led the way for the Pioneers with a career high of 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting from behind the arc and seven rebounds. Paris Jamison pitched in 18 points, Dylan Perry added 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting from three point range. Ryan Rosa chipped in 13 points and Cody Schneider added 12 points. 

Dylan Perry got the party started for the Pioneers. His fourth three pointer of the half gave Alfred State a 22-16 lead with 12:10 remaining in the half. A steal from Rosa led to a breakaway dunk from Schneider. Switzer connected on a three-pointer to stretch the Pioneers lead 57-36 with 1:19 remaining. Switzer shot 5-of-5 from downtown in the first half. Alfred State strolled into halftime with a 59-36 lead. 

Michael Miller opened the second half with a three pointer for the Pioneers. Jamison floated in a layup to bring the lead up to 35, 86-51 with 11:00 remaining in the game. A few possessions later Switzer converted on a 4-point play for Alfred State. The Pioneers led by as much as 45 points in this game. Alfred State eclipsed the 100 point mark for the second time this season as they defeated the Panthers 108-72. The Pioneers sweep the season series 2-0 against Pitt.-Bradford.

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, February 10th as they will travel to Cresson, PA and face the Mounties of Mt. Aloysius.
