Greensburg, PA - The Alfred State men's basketball team drop game to Pitt.-Greensburg, 67-52. The Pioneers fall to 9-10 overall and 7-5 in AMCC play.
Cody Schneider led the way with 17 points and three steals. Ryan Rosa added 13 points and 7 rebounds and Michael Miller chipped in 10 points.
A three pointer from Dylan Perry and a layup from Miller got the Pioneers started to take a 5-0 lead. Zy Switzer made a layup to give Alfred State a 13-10 lead with 11:52 remaining but the Bobcats would go on a 9-0 run to take a 19-13 lead. The Pioneers would counter with a 13-5 run of their own to take a 26-24 lead going into halftime.
Schneider got Alfred State started with a short corner jumper to begin the 2nd half. The Bobcats proceeded to go on a 21-6 and take a 45-32 lead. A drive and dish from Jacob Gonzalez to Paris Jamison cut the Bobcat lead to seven, 54-47. The Bobcats were able to weather the Pioneers run and they won, 67-52.
The Pioneers are back in action as they host Wells College on Wednesday, January 31st.
