24 Track & Field Athletes Earn Academic Honors from the CSAC

24 members of the Alfred State Track & Field team have been named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Winter/Spring 2021 All-Academic Team. A total of 881 student-athletes were honored.
Miketish and Taggart Named USTFCCCA All-Academic - Team Named All-Academic

Marina Mikestish (Olean) and Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD) have been named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes. The pair are part of the 650 women who were honored in NCAA Division III Track & Field. The women's track team as a whole was also honored as an All-Academic Team.
Frascella, Laurie & Lohr Honored with Pioneer Legacy Awards

Kate Frascella (Franklinville), Josh Laurie (LeRoy), and Ryan Lohr (West Seneca) have been named the recipients of the 2020-21 Pioneer Legacy Awards. This award is given to the male and female athletes who have achieved success on and off the field throughout their career at Alfred State. The nominees have demonstrated sportsmanship and leadership, been involved in civic engagement activities, along with earning athletic honors during their career.
Frascella Named the 2021 AMCC Woman of the Year

Alfred State senior Katherine Frascella (Franklinville) has been named the 2021 AMCC Woman of the Year. She is a member of the Pioneers cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field teams, graduating with a 3.94 GPA in Nursing.
Watkins and Linderman Named to AMCC All-Academic Team

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD) set a new Alfred State standard in the heptathlon at the All-Atlantic Region Championships. She improved her personal best by nearly 500 points.

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD) leads the heptathlon after day one while Dylan Perlino (Holland) set a new Alfred State record in the hammer throw as the Pioneers competed in the All-Atlantic Region Championship at St. John Fisher.
Track Team Ready to Compete at All-Atlantic Regionals

The Alfred State track & field team will head to St. John Fisher tomorrow (5/19) and Thursday (5/20) to compete in the All-Atlantic Region Championships. The Pioneers are one of 50 colleges that could send athletes to compete.
