Miketish Honored by the CSAC

Marina Miketish (Olean) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) field athlete of the week after her record breaking performance in the heptathlon.

At the Brockport Multi & Invitational on Sunday and Monday, Miketish finished fourth in the heptathlon with a total score of 3,623 points. Her top performances in the seven events included: 652 points by running the 800 (2:33.32), 632 points in the high jump (1.51 m), 619 points in the 100 hurdles (16.80), and 438 points by registering a leap of 4.54 m in the long jump.

Miketish broke the previous school record established by Amanda Penepent in 2000 (3,583 points).

The Alfred State women's team is back in action on Saturday when they head to the St. John Fisher Invitational.
