Hierlwimmer Named Athlete of the Week

Junior baseball player Ryan Hierlwimmer (Livonia) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week.  Hierlwimmer led the Pioneers offense this past week with a .385 batting average.

Hierlwimmer was 5 for 13 with two doubles and three RBI in the Pioneers four contests last week.  He scored three runs, walked once, and was hit by a pitch twice.

On the year, Hierlwimmer is hitting .297 with five doubles, a triple, and 13 RBI.  He has a .406 slugging percentage and a .375 on base percentage.

The Pioneers are slated for a busy week playing three doubleheaders starting today at Monroe CC (11 a.m.).  The team battles Hilbert on Friday and Medaille on Saturday.
