Witchella Named USCAA and #PioneerPinpoint Athlete of the Week

Haley Witchella (Oxford) has been named the USCAA DI player of the week and the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint athlete of the week. This is the second time this year she has garnered these honors. 

Witchella scored 73 points (24.3 ppg), grabbed 34 rebounds (11.3 rpg), was credited with 11 blocks, and five steals as Lady Pioneers defeated Medaille (69-55), Pitt-Titusville (64-26), and SUNY Canton (77-65). 

Witchella has scored in double-figures in all 18 of the Lady Pioneers contests and has recorded double-doubles in 15 including two last week. This season she became the 2nd Lady Pioneer to reach the 1,000 point plateau and is the program's leading scorer with 1,166 points.

Witchella and the rest of the Lady Pioneers have three more contests this week starting with a 5 p.m. tip-off vs. Mercyhurst North East on Thursday. They travel to Michigan this weekend to take on Rochester College on Saturday and Finlandia on Sunday.
