200 Medley Relay Breaks Program Record at Chapionships

The Alfred State women's swimming & diving team sits in third place overall and second in the AMCC with 108 points after the first day of the Allegheny Empire Swimming & Diving Championships.

The 200-yard medley relay of Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon), Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer), Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame) and Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) placed first in the AMCC and second overall with a time of 1:52.27 which is a new program record.

The 4x800-yard freestyle relay of Mikaela Snayczuk, James, Madison Snayczuk and Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) finished third in the AMCC and fifth overall with a time of 8:18.69.

Day two action begins at 10 a.m. with preliminary rounds, diving begins at approximately 1 p.m., and the finals start at 5:30 p.m.
