Madison Snayczuk Breaks Program Record at Championships

The Alfred State women's swimming & diving team leads the AMCC and is second overall with 251 points after day two of the Allegheny Empire Swimming & Diving Championships.

Madison Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) broke the program record in the 50-yard freestyle after placing second with a time of 24.45.

Gabriela Leite (Little Rock, AR) took fifth in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.80.

Sarah Streeter (LeRoy/Byron Bergen) finished fifth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 258.65.

The 200-yard freestyle relay of Leite, Mackenzie Gillette (Elmira Notre Dame), Sydney Koob (Plainwell, MI) and Sarah Konyndyk (Grand Rapids, MI) took fifth place with a time of 1:48.18.

Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) placed seventh in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:16.87.

Alyssa James (Pittsford Mendon) finished tenth in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:31.08.

Day three action begins at 10 a.m. with preliminary rounds, diving begins at approximately 11:30 a.m., and the finals start at 5:30 p.m.
