Anderson, Dale, Miller, and LaRue Named Athletes of the Week
Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville), Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA), Austin Miller (Hornell), and Jessie LaRue (Livonia) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Anderson had a big all-around week for the Pioneers. She averaged 12.7 points, 11.7 assists, and 7.7 rebounds in the three games. She recorded a triple double (14 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds) vs. Villa Maria. She also passed out 13 assists in the victory at Pine Manor. The 13 assists is now the new record number for assists in the game
Dale won the 400 IM (4:17.62) for the 2nd straight year at the 2019 AMCC Championships. He also was 2nd in the 200 IM (2:00.00) and 3rd in the 200 fly (2:02.05). He was also part of the 800 free relay (3rd), the 400 medley relay (3rd), the 200 Medley relay (2nd), and the 400 free relay (2nd).
Miller qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals with victories on both the 1m (440.80) and the 3m (484.45) boards at the AMCC Championships. For his performances he was named the AMCC Diver of the Year.
LaRue won a pair of individual events at the AMCC's. She won the 200 IM (2:14.66) and the 200 back (2:11.64). She also finished 2nd in the 100 back (1:02.90). She was also part of the 800 free relay (2nd), the 200 free relay (2nd), the 200 medley relay (3rd), and the 400 free (2nd).
