Franklin and Johnson Named Athletes of the Week
Morgan Franklin (Wellsville) and Colin Johnson (Alfred Almond) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Franklin led the softball team this week with a .455 batting average (5 for 11). She was 4 for 6 with 2 RBI in a doubleheader at D'Youville to start the week.
Johnson had a big offensive week as the Pioneers clinched a spot in the AMCC Postseason. He was 14 for 26 (.538 batting average) was three doubles, a triple, and 9 RBI. He also scored nine times. In game two vs. Mt. Aloysius he was 5 for 6 with 3 RBI and in game two vs. Hilbert he was 3 for 5 with 4 RBI.
