Swim Team to Compete at ECAC Championships

The Alfred State swimming team will travel to the Nassau County Aquatic Center this weekend to compete in the ECAC Winter Swimming and Diving Championships. The three day event will feature competitors for 13 different school representing NCAA DI, DII, and DIII.

The Pioneers have numerous swimmers that rank high in the events they are slated to compete in. The top 24 swimmers in each event score.

Tim Berry (Midlakes) – 1^st in both 1m and 3m Diving

Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ) – 10^th in Mile, 14^th in 400 IM, 16^th in 200 Back, and 17^th in 200 Fly.

John Paul Holubek (Wayland Cohocton) – 11^th in Mile, 19^th in 200 Breast, and 25^th in 100 Breast.

Zach Russell (Pal-Mac) – 21^st in 200 Free, 25^th in 50 Free, and 27^th in 100 Free. 

Don Piatek (Springville Griffith) – 22^nd in 200 Back

Tim Seitzinger (Bel-Air, MD) – 22^nd in 200 Fly

Andrew Callaghan (Pal-Mac) – 23^rd in 200 Back

Allison Sell (Hanover, PA) – 17^th in 400 IM, 18^th in 200 Breast, and 19^th in 100 Breast, 

Josey Brewer (Letchworth) – 25^th in 200 Breast and 26^th in 100 Breast

Megan Hendershot (Brockport) – 23^rd in 200 Back

Alfred State will compete vs. Adelphi, American University, Arcadia, Baruch, College of Staten Island, LIU Post (women), Manhattan, New Jersey Institute of Technology (men), Pace, Southern Connecticut State, and St. Francis.

Competition starts at 4 p.m. on Friday and runs until Sunday afternoon.
