Men Finish 8th at ECAC's, Women 11th

The Alfred State men's swimming and diving team finished 8th at the ECAC Winter Championships while the women's team finished 11th in the three-day competition held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.

The men's 4x400 medley relay team of Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ), John Paul Holubek (Wayland Cohocton), Kyle Sporysz (Cuba Rushford), and Zach Russell (Pal-Mac) finished 8th (3:58.54). Russell, Cutler, Sporysz, and Tim Seitzinger (Bel Air, MD) finished 9th in the 400 free relay.

The women's 4x400 medley relay team of Megan Hendershot (Brockport), Josey Brewer (Letchworth), Alison Sell (Hanover, PA), and Myriah Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) finished 10th in 4:51.64 while the same quartet finished 10th in the 400 free relay in 4:27.51.

Siena College took home the women's title with 1,600 points while New Jersey Institute of Technology won the men's title with 1,436. The open competition featured NCAA DI, DII, and DIII schools. The Pioneer men scored 370.5 points while the women scored 236.

The Pioneers are back in action on January 23rd when they host Pitt-Bradford at 10 a.m.
