Pioneers Finish 5th at Geneseo Invitaitonal

The Alfred State swimming team wrapped up the regular season with a 5th place finish for both the men and the women at the Geneseo Invitational. The men scored 163 points while the women tallied 91.

Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ) led the way for the Pioneers. He was 3rd in the 200 butterfly (2:12.76), 5th in the 200 IM (2:09.14), and 8th in the 100 fly (57.95). Cutler was also part of the 400 free relay team that finished 5th (3:33.54). In that race he teamed with Wyatt Lipinski (Oswego), Ryan Brophy, and Kyle Sporysz (Cuba Rushford).

Andrew Callaghan (Pal-Mac) was 5th in the 200 back (2:25.41), Tim Seitzinger (Bel Air, MD) was 5th in the 200 breast (2:46.36), and Brophy was 7th in the 100 free (53.93)

Alison Sell (Hanover, PA) had another solid day on the women's side. She was was 2nd in the 200 breast (2:40.56), 4th in the 50 free (26.56), and 6th in the 100 fly (1:04.86). Myriah Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) was 6th in the 500 free (6:21.67).

Sell will represent Alfred State at the ECAC Championships in three weeks. ECAC's will be held at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
