Lady Spikers Remained Tied for 3rd in USCAA Poll

For the second week in a row, the Alfred State volleyball team find themselves tied for third place in the USCAA poll. The Pioneers are tied with Maine Fort Kent for that #3 spot.

For the third straight week Florida National is ranked #1 followed closely behind by defending national champion Florida College. Alfred State and Maine Fort Kent are tied for 3rd with 379 points. Rochester College and Penn State Fayette hold the #5 and #6 spot.

Moments after the poll was released on Friday, the Lady Pioneers beat Maine Fort Kent 3-1 in the first day of the Alfred Tournament. With four victories over the weekend the Blue and Gold improve to 18-2. The squad is riding a six-game winning streak.

The Lady Pioneers host Penn College on Wednesday in their annual Dig Pink Game before traveling to the Wilkes University Tournament over the weakened. They battle CCNY and  Keystone on Friday (10/21) and Moravian and Wilkes on Saturday (10/22).

The USCAA National Tournament will invite 10 teams to play at Virginia Beach, VA the second week of November. Alfred State has made two straight trips to Nationals.
