Pioneers Predicted Third. Serce Pre-Season Player of the Year

The AMCC Pre-Season Poll was released this morning and has the Pioneers predicted to finish in third place. Defending champs Mt. Aloysius and Penn.- St. Behrend are tied atop the pre-season poll.

Last season, Alfred State finished tied with future champions Mt. Aloysius in second place with an 11-5 conference record.

Nick Serce (Irondequoit, NY / Irondequoit) was voted as the co-preseason player of the year. Serce was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2022. He batted .374 with 11 doubles, one triple, nine homeruns and 35 RBI. On the mound, he recorded 50 strikeouts in 43.1 innings, while also picking up two saves on the season.

Jack Josephson (Penfield, NY/Penfield) is coming off a first team all-conference season. As a freshman, Josephson posted a 4.08 era with 63k's and only 19 walks. He went 6-2 and threw 70 innings for the Pioneers.
