Barinas Named to ABCA All-Region Defensive Team
Elijah Barinas, a junior third baseman for the Pioneers has been named to the 2023 ABCA NCAA Div. III Region 7 All-Defensive team. Barinas flashed a .972 fielding percentage in conference play, anchoring 3b all season. He also tallied 89 assists and turned 13 double plays from the hot corner.
The 2023 ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors. The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced Wednesday, June 21.
