Smith Honored by ECFC
Alfred State first year linebacker Joel Smith (Livonia) has been named the ECFC Rookie of the Week.
Smith led the Pioneers with 12 tackles (8 solo) in the season opener vs. Utica College on Saturday. Four of his tackles were for a loss of 19 yards.
Errol Breaux (Dean) was the ECFC Offensive Player of the Week, Chris Rice (Castleton) was named the Defensive Player of the Week, and Nick Crossman (Castleton) was named the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Smith and the Pioneers head to the University of Rochester on Saturday for a Noon kickoff.
