Broadwater Named ECFC Offensive Player of the Week
Alfred State wide receiver Shy'rel Broadwater (Syracuse/Cicero North Syracuse) has been named the ECFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Broadwater had a big day for the Pioneers vs. Rochester. He caught nine passes for 249 yards and two scores. He caught TD passes of 25 and 53 yards in the 4th quarter. His 249 yards receiving is the most in the ASC NCAA era. On the year, Broadwater now has 11 catches for 311 yards in two games.
Anna Maria's Armstrong Antoine earned Defensive Player of the Week, while his teammates Harold Beckford and Ryan Kent were named Rookie of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively.
Broadwater and the Pioneers are home again on Saturday when they host the University of New England. Kickoff is slated for Noon.
