Jenkins and Fontaine Earn ECFC Honors

Alfred State quarterback Aaron Jenkins (Canfield, OH) and Dawson Fontaine (Bensalem, PA) have been honored by the ECFC after the Pioneers defeated Maritime 35-20 on Saturday afternoon.

Jenkins had a monster day to lead the Pioneer offense. He rushed 22 times for 222 yards and a score. His 40-yard TD run late in the game sealed the victory. He also was 8 for 18 for 95 yards including a pair of touchdown passes. On the year, Jenkins now has rushed for 363 yards and five scores and passed for 1,033 yards and eight scores.

This the second time Jenkins has earned ECFC honors.

Fontaine was 5 for 5 in PAT attempts but his biggest impact of the game came on the first play of the 2nd half. The Pioneer kicker was able to execute and recover a surprise on-side kick to give Alfred State back the ball. That possession led to another score for ASC and pushed the lead to two possessions. ON the year, Fontaine is 16 for 16 on PAT's.

John Werner of Gallaudet was named the Defensive Player of the Week while Mujaheed Muhammad of Keystone was named the Rookie of the Week.
