Van Fleet Honored by D3football.com
Rylie Van Fleet (Maine Endwell) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week powered by Scoutware. He is the second Pioneer this season to earn this honor and third all-time.
Van Fleet intercepted three passes in Alfred State's 35-28 road victory at Defiance. Late in the 1st quarter, he intercepted a pass and returned it 21 yards to the Defiance 20 to set up ASC's first score. On the next possession he intercepted another pass and returned it 32 yards to the Defiance 21 to set up yet another Pioneer score. His final interception came in the 3rd quarter when picked off a pass and returned it 48 yards to the Defiance 31. ASC scored four plays later to build a 21-7 lead.
He finished the day with the three interceptions, 102 yards returns yards, a team high six tackles, and a forced fumble.
He was previously named the ECFC Defensive Player of the Week and the Alfred State Athlete of the Week.
