Penn State Behrend improved to 18-1 on the season with a 81-45 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday evening. The Lions ranked #23 in the latest D3Hoops.com poll have won 14 games in a row.
Marquis Edwards (Queens/In-Tech Academy) led the Pioneers with 13 points while Samuel Volmy (Lockport/Christian Academy of WNY) came off the bench and chipped in six. Tyrone Davis (Brooklyn/Benjamin Banneker) passed out six assists and had a team high seven boards.
Matt Colpoys led the Lions with 20 points on 6 for 9 shooting while Zane Hackett recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards. Malquan Pullium also finished in double figures with 15.
The Pioneers will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host SUNY Canton at 3 p.m.
