Pioneers Too Much for Davis

The Alfred State men's basketball team raced past Davis 78-55 to complete the season sweep of the Falcons. The Pioneers improve to 8-16 on the season heading into their final game.

Adam Fezza (Southhampton) led four Pioneers in double figures with 15 points. Dante Jordan (New York/Law & Public Service) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, Tyrone Davis (Brooklyn/Benjamin Banneker) scored 12 and passed out four assists, and Marquis Edwards (Queens/In-Tech Academy) added 10. Juwan Toliver (Buffalo/McKinley) and Tyler Elliott (Perry) chipped in seven each.

The Pioneers shot 39.8% from the field and held a 40 to 33 advantage on the boards.

Kevin Davis and Kolby Brown led Davis with 10 points each. The Falcons shot 33.9% on the game.

The Pioneers host Berkeley (NY) College on Sunday in their season finale. Berkeley is the #1 ranked team and the defending national champion in Division II of the USCAA. Opening tip-off is at Noon.
