Kothor Named #Pioneer Pinpoint Athlete of Week

Alfred State freshman thrower Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) has been named the #PioneerPinpoint athlete of the week following her solid performance at the Brockport Invitational.

Kothor set a new school record in the weight throw with a toss of 13.54 m. It was the first time she had ever competed in the weight throw. Her toss which placed her 7th in the competition breaks the former record of Caitlin Eliazewskyj (13.42 m) from 2006.

Kothor was also 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 12.12 m. Her shot put performance was 3rd best in school history and qualified her for the ECAC Championships. Her performance is also the 5th best performance this season in the Atlantic Region. Kyanna Hawkins Deravin (Rowan) leads the region with a toss of 13.00 m.

The track & field team is in action this weekend at Houghton.
