Kothor Named ECAC Rookie of the Week

Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) was named the ECAC Upstate Rookie of the Week following a record breaking performance at the Houghton Invitational. This is the second week in a row that Kothor has earned a weekly honor.

Kothor won both the weight throw (14.74 m) and shot put (12.54). Both of her performances are new records at Alfred State. Her throw in the weight throw breaks her own record of 13.54 m that she established last week. Her throw in the shot put broke the record of 12.40 m held by Sheila McCann in 1983.

Kothor was the named the #PioneerPinpoint athlete of the week last week.

The Pioneers are in action again on Saturday when they head to Ithaca College.
