Men 10th, Women 11th at Millersville

The Alfred State track and field team had a strong showing at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. The men finished 10th with 24 points while the women were 11th with 14 points. 22 teams scored in the event.

John Adewumi (Bordertown) was 3rd in the triple jump (13.51) and 4th in the 100 (11.28) to lead the men's team.

The 4x800 relay team of Trevor Stiles (Hornell), Keith Johnson (Webster Thomas), Eric Hulbert (Mexico), and Jacob Hanss (East Rochester) finished 4th (9:12.42) while the 4x400 relay team of Zach Woodard (South Jefferson), Kyle Jones (Wilson), John Woodworth (LeRoy), and Nick Ambos (Croton Harmon) finished 6th in 3:35.32.

Brandon Teboe (Falconer) was 5th in the pole vault (4.12 m), Hulbert was 8th in the steeplechase (10:30.78), and Jones ran the 200 in 23.22.

Victoire Kothor (Greece Odyssey) was 3rd in the shot put with a toss of 12.44 while teammate Haley Anderson (Lyndonville) recorded a toss of 10.62. Kothor also registered a toss of 37.37 in the hammer throw.

Other top finishes on the women's side included: Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) was 5th in the long jump (5.08 m) and ran the 200 in 27.95. The 4x100 relay team (54.27) of Bresnahan, Diane Sill (Kendall), Maddi McDonald (Lansing), and Brianna Brynes (Jordan Elbridge) and the 4x400 relay team (4:38.22) of Bresnahan, McDonald, Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville), and Brynes both finished 7th. Kelly Healy (Maple Hill) was 8th in the steeplechase (14:13.28).

The blue & gold are back in action next Saturday at Nazareth. Action is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
