Sweet Performances for Track & Field at Susquehanna

The Alfred State indoor track & field team had some sweet performances at the Susquehanna Invitational on Valentine's Day. 

Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) continued her solid season with strong performances in the weight throw and the shot put. Kothor tossed the weight 15.06 to break her own school record and earn 3rd place. In the shot put she was 7th with a toss of 11.63.

John Adewumi (Bordertown) was 4th, and 5th all-time in school history, in the 60 m dash. He crossed the finish line in 7.14.

The women's 4x200 relay team of Maddi McDonald (Lansing), Angel Bresnahan (Mexico), Casey Bills (Hudson Falls), and Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls) finished 9th in 1:53.60. The time is the 3rd best in school history. The 4x400 relay team of McDonald, Bills, Bresnahan, and Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville) finished 6th in 4:21.35 (4th best in school history).

The men's 4x200 relay team of Kyle Jones (Wilson), Zach Woodard (South Jefferson), Adewumi, and Joseph Richardson (Geneva) finished in 6th while the distance medley relay team of Keith Johnson (Webster Thomas), Dominic Freudenvoll (Greece Arcadia), Jonathan Pearl (Campbell Savona), and John Woodworth (LeRoy) finished 7th in 11:17.07.

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday when they travel the Brockport Invitational.
