Bresnahan and Kothor Lead Track Team at Roc City Classic

Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) and Victoire Kothor (Greece Odyssey) qualified for the ECAC Championships at the Roc City Classic hosted by Nazareth College. Bresnahan won the long jump while Kothor set a new school record in the hammer throw.

Bresnahan won the long jump with a lead of 5.33 m. Her performance was 3rd best in school history and qualified her for the ECAC Championships.

Bresnahan also was part of the 4x400 relay team that finished 3rd. She teamed with Maddi McDonald (Lansing), Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls), and Briana Byrnes (Jordan Elbridge) to record a time of 4:26.32.

Victoire Kothor (Greece Odyssey) set a new school record and finished 4th in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.19 m. She was 3rd in the shot put (12.05 m) and 8th in the discus (31.89 m).

Carissa Plesums (Warsaw) was 6th in the triple jump (10.42 m - 5th best all time), Steffanie Preston (Groton) was 9th in the javelin (24.67 m - 8th best all time), and Fiore was 10th in the 400 hurdles (1:12.98).

On the men's side, Keith Johnson (Webster Thomas) and Jacob Hanss (East Rochester) registered the top finishes of the day. Johnson finished 2nd in the 5,000 (15:39.58) while Hanss was 2nd in the steeplechase (10:12.14). John Adewumi (Bordertown) was 3rd in the 100 (11.41) and 4th in the triple jump (12.88 m).

Eric Hulbert (Mexico) was 3rd in the steeplechase (10:19.6), Brandon Teboe (Falconer) was 4th in the pole vault (3.96 m), Zach Woodard (South Jefferson) was 5th in the 200 (22.88), John Woodworth (LeRoy) was 6th in the 400 hurdles (22.88), and James Westman (Fonda Fultonville) was 7th in the steeplechase (10:35.70).

The Pioneers are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Mansfield.
