Kothor and Bills Lead Pioneers

Casey Bills (Hudson Falls) and Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) led the way as the Alfred State track and field team competed at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational.

Bills was 2nd in the 500 (1:21.92) to qualify for the ECAC Championships and move into 3rd place all-time in Pioneer indoor history. Bills was also part of the 4x200 relay team teaming with Maddi McDonald (Lansing), Angel Bresnahan (Mexico), and Diane Sill (Kendall) that finished 8th (1:53.67).

Kothor continued her solid freshmen campaign with a 2nd place finish in the shot put (12.28 m) and was 6th in the weight throw (13.85 m).

Other top performances on the women's side included:

Bresnahan registered the 7th fastest time in school history in the 60 (8.58) and the 8th longest jump (4.82 m) in the long jump.
The women's Distance Medley Relay team of Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville), Katherine Gelser (Keshequa), Mikaela Shaw (Attica), and Kelly Healy (Maple Hill) finished 4th in 15:21.09).
Ryan was also 7th in the 500 (1:30.59).

John Adewumi (Bordertown) was 6th in the 60 m (7.21) to lead the men's team.

In relay action:

The men's distance medley relay team of Jacob Hanss (East Rochester), Tom Lattanzi (Kings Park), James Westman (Fonda Fultonville), and Eric Hulbert (Mexico) finished 2nd (11:51.42).
The 4x800 relay team of Dominic Freudenvoll (Greece Arcadia), Jonathan Pearl (Campbell Savona), Trevor Stiles (Hornell), and Scott Seyboth (Greece Olympia) finished 5th (9:05.07).
The 4x400 relay team of Nick Ambos (Croton Harmon), John Woodworth (LeRoy), Donald Byfield (Freeport, Grand Bahamas), and Michael Girard (Phoenix) finished 6th (3:43.81).
Zach Woodard (South Jefferson), Kyle Jones (Wilson), Joseph Richardson(Geneva) and Ambos finished 7th (1:35.53).
