Lady Spikers Down Keuka

The Alfred State volleyball team got back on track with a 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 victory over Keuka on Friday night. The Lady Pioneers improve to 16-3 on the season with the victory.

Bryanna Godfrey (Tioga) led the way for the Lady Pioneers with 10 kills and a .325 hitting percentage. She also added a team high 14 digs. Lera Braun (Waterloo) chipped in 28 assists and six digs, Janae Hamilton (Ellicottville) recorded eight kills and five blocks, and Madison Szpaicher (Ellicottville) added seven kills and six digs. Madison Webster (Corning) finished with 11 digs.

Jadie Buddingh led the Wolfpack with 12 kills. Alyssa Rex passed out 16 assists while Kaitlin Burke and Emily Cottrell both collected 11 digs. 

Alfred State recorded a hitting percentage of .304 on the night while Keuka hit only .144. The Lady Pioneers collected seven aces compared to five by the Wolfpack.

The blue & gold are right back at it on Saturday when they host Farmingdale at 10 a.m. and Cazenovia at 2 p.m.
