Kothor and Krouse Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week
Indoor Track & Field athletes Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) and Richard Krouse (Eden) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week.
Kothor was a double winner at the Brockport Invitational. She won the shot put with a toss of 13.46 m which set a new Special Event & Recreation facility record. Her toss was 1.37 m further than the 2nd place finisher. Kothor also won the weight throw with a toss of 16.01 m.
Krouse qualified for the ECAC Championships in the high jump with a leap of 1.93 m. He was 2nd in the overall competition. Krouse was also 5th in the long jump (6.43 m).
Kothor has led the Lady Pioneers to the #17 ranking in the latest NCAAA DIII indoor track & field Northeast rankings released by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Nationally, the blue & gold women are ranked 99th.
On the men's side, the Pioneers are currently ranked #27 in the Northeast poll.
