Track Team Competes at Brockport
The indoor track & field team had several strong performances at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational. The men's team finished 13th out of 17 team while the women finished 14th out of 18 teams.
Brandon Teboe (Falconer) and Richard Krouse (Eden) led the men's team with 4th place finishes. Teboe was 4th in the pole vault with a leap of 4.20 m. while Krouse qualified for the NYS meet in the high jump with a performance of 1.78 m.
On the women's side, Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) was 6th in the 3,000 m. Her time of 11:14.77 was a new PR and the 6th best in school history. The women's distance medley relay team of Brianna Byrnes (Jordan Elbridge), Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville), Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls), and Kelly Healy (Maple Hill) finished 4th (14:23.59) and recorded the 6th fastest time in school history.
Other noteworthy performances included:
- Men's DMR team of Austin Demberg (Minisink Valley), Peter York (Akron), Dan Benton (Cobleskill-Richmondville), and Jordan Rusek (Williamsville East) finished 5th in 12:31.83.
- The women's 4x400 relay team of Maddi McDonald (Lansing), Ryan, Byrnes, and Healy was 9th (4:33.60).
- Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) was 13th in the long jump (4.71 m).
- Eric Hulbert (Mexico) was 14th in the 3,000 (9:31.02).
- Kyle Jones (Wilson) was 15th in the 60 m (7.49).
The Pioneers head to Ithaca next weekend for the Ithaca College Invitational and Multi.
