Pioneers Compete in Ithaca Multi

All five Alfred State athletes that competed at the Ithaca Multi qualified for the NYS Championships. 

Zach Curran (Williamson) was the top Pioneer finisher in the heptathlon. He scored 3,569 points which is the 6th best in school history. He scored 619 points in the 1,000 m (3:04.70), scored 592 points in the 60 m (7.89) scored 590 points in the pole vault (3.90 m).

Jake Hawley (Susquehanna) scored 3,568 points to move into 7th all-time in school history. He scored 633 points in the 60 hurdles (9.53), 615 points in the 1,000 (3:05.16), and 595 points in the 60 (7.88).

Brandon Teboe (Falconer) accumulated 3,357 points and is now 10th best in school history. He scored 617 points in the pole vault (4.00 m) and 613 points in the 60 (7.82)

Alex Brown (Wellsville) scored 3,289 in the competition. He best performance was in the 1,000 where he scored 652 points (3.01.30).

On the women's side, Holly Fiore (Niagara Falls) scored 2,084 points n the pentathlon and is now 8th in school history. She scored 474 points in the 60 hurdles (11.39), 471 in the 800 (2:49.29), and 451 in the long jump (4.59).

All five athletes will be able to compete at the NYS Championships Multi at the end of February.
