Kothor Earns All-Region Honors

Alfred State sophomore thrower Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) has earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors. Kothor is the first Pioneer to earn postseason honors from the USTFCCCA.

Kothor earned All-Region honors in both the shot put and the weight throw. This past weekend at the ECAC Championships, Kothor won the shot put with a toss of 13.85 m which rewrote her current Alfred State record. She also was 2nd in the weight throw with a throw of 16.39 m.

To be named All-Region by the USTFCCCA, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.

Kothor now shifts her focus to the outdoor season which opens up on March 19th at Juniata.
