Offense Struggles on Day Two in Myrtle

The Alfred State baseball team never could get the offense going on day two of their spring break trip to the Ripken Experience in Mrytle Beach, SC.  The Pioneers fell 7-0 to Camden (NJ) County College and 7-0 to Frederick (MD) CC.

Camden scored three runs in the 1st inning and never looked back.  NicholasPadley (Buffalo/Sweet Home) was 2 for 2 on the day and Greg Koller (Chesterland, OH) was 2 for 3.

In the nightcap, Frederick scored five runs in the first three innings to take control of the game. The Pioneers were held to just four hits with Jordan Wheaton (Wayland Cohocton) collecting a double.

The blue & gold (1-11) are off on Tuesday but they continue their trip in Myrtle on Wednesday when they take on Garrett (MD) College at Noon.
