Garrett (MD) CC jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the 1st and never looked back in a 10-1 victory over Alfred State on Wednesday afternoon. The game was #5 of ten the Pioneers are schedule to play at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC.
After the Lakers scored five in the 1st, Alfred plated a run in the bottom of the inning. Neither team could get on the board until the 6th when Garrett scored once and then added four insurance runs in the 7th.
The Pioneers were held to just three singles on the day and stranded seven runners.
The Pioneers are back at it on Thursday with a doubleheader at the Ripken Experience. They take on Frederick (MD) CC at 3 p.m. and Mohawk Valley CC at 6 p.m.
