Bialecki and Gleaton Earn USCAA All-American Honors

Freshmen center Catherine Bialecki (Alfred Almond) and junior forward Breana Gleaton (Waldorf, MD) have been named to the USCAA Division I All-American team. Bialecki was a 2nd team selection while Gleaton was named honorable mention.

Bialecki joined the Pioneers in 2016 and saw action in 14 games. She shot 46.5% from the field, netted 182 points (13 ppg), and grabbed 107 rebounds (7.6 rpg). Bialecki scored in double figures in seven of the Pioneers last eight games. He season high of 26 points came in a victory vs. Delhi while she grabbed 16 boards in a victory over Fisher. On the year she recorded five double-doubles. Bialecki also added 27 blocks and 17 steals.

Gleaton played in 23 games this season. She averaged 10.3 points per game (238 total points) and 8.3 rebounds (190 total rebounds). She had a season high 29 points and 15 rebounds at Medaille. On the year, Gleaton recorded five double-doubles. Gleaton also chipped in 33 assists, 20 steals, and 18 blocks.

This is the third straight year that a Lady Pioneers has earned All-American honors from the USCAA (Haley Witchella - 1st team 2014-15 & Marcedes Caver - 2nd team 2013-14).

The Lady Pioneers finished the 2015-16 season with a 9-15 record. The team was 8-6 during the 2016 portion of their season and won seven of their last nine games.
