Nagle Named Athlete of the Week
Travis Nagle (Randolph) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week by the sports information department after leading the Pioneers multi athletes at the Region III multi at Ithaca College over the weekend.
Nagle won the Region III Heptathlon in conjuction with the Ithaca Bomber Invitational. His total of 4,321 points sets a new school record and ranks him 4th in the country currently.
His pole vault result of 4.35 m was the best in the competition and qualified him for the NJCAA Indoor National Championships.
Nagle and his teammates Frankie Bailey (Rochester/John Marshall) and Dane Dechow (Randolph) took the top three spots in the competition.
